Hints of 6927 and 1827.
Even if it was only an illusion, it was disconcerting all the same. Who would have though that Rokudo Mukuro would shed tears for someone he supposedly loathe? He wasn't crying like a child, but the droplets of tears were proof that despite whatever fronts he had previously pulled, Mukuro was just human just like everybody else.
Hibari tried not to listen to the man's slightly ragged sound of breathing caused maybe by his tears.
"I lost to you, huh, Hibari-kun," he whispered from where he stood looking at the casket. "I'm crying for Tsunayoshi-kun and you aren't.
In the end, I was the one who got attached to him."
Hibari closed his eyes. He was trying hard not to picture the man lying inside the casket, void of the warmth of life. Even if he was only looking at it through a computer screen, his heart constricted painfully in his chest.
"No," he whispered back. "I'm the one who lost."
